Notes:

  1. 16bit microcontroller with Single Voltage Flash. The algorithm expects the data in consolidated HEX file format, where program data AND options data are both included. Use Renesas' Hex Converter Utility (HCU_GUI available for download on the Renesas Europe homepage), to create & check the file including the correct settings for the options (security flags). The options will be programmed only when "Secure Device" on the process TAB is selected.
  2. Caution of setting the option Bytes. Error setting would case sample failed and can't recover!!! The offset 0xC0 - 0xC3 and 0x10C0 - 0x10C3 should be the same. Because when the boot swap operation is used 0x10CX replace 0xCx. Detail about how to set the three bytes value, reference the device datasheets.
  3. "Block erasure prohibit" and "Boot block cluster rewrite prohibit" bits are not be able to clear. if any of these bit was set, the device will fail. Only write prohibit flag can be clear by erase.
  4. Support requires using the Renesas' Hex Converter Utility to merge data file before the making of a task. The Renesas' Hex Converter Utility (HCU_GUI) is available for download on the Renesas Europe homepage. If the data is not merged using the Renesas utility there will be a device can't re-programmed error!
  5. If you want to reprogram this device, please set special feature "Programed FIH in option bytes2" to the value you programed last time in option bytes2(0xC2/0x20C2). If it's first time, please let it as default.
