William Wentworth joined Data I/O’s Board of Directors in May 2023, became President in September 2024, and CEO in October 2024. He co-founded Source Electronics and led its sale to Avnet Inc., where he later held senior executive roles. Before joining Data I/O, he was Principal at Wentworth Advisors, advising IT services firms and private equity groups on growth and acquisition strategies. He also served as Managing Director at Blankfactor and held board roles with Excellarate and Synerzip. He holds an associate degree in Electronics from ATI Technical Institute. Mr. Wentworth brings deep executive experience in programming services, semiconductors, and technology strategy.

Edward Smith joined Data I/O’s Board of Directors in 2022 and was appointed Chair of the Board in December 2025. He is currently Executive Chairman of SMTC Corporation, having previously served as its CEO through May 2024. He has held leadership roles, including President of Avnet Inc. and CEO of SMTEK International. With over 25 years in EMS and electronic component distribution, Mr. Smith brings extensive operational and board experience. He has served on both private and public boards, including Aqua Metals and SMTC prior to its acquisition. He is the founder of the We Will Never Forget charitable foundation. His industry leadership and governance experience are valuable assets to Data I/O’s Board.

Douglas Brown joined Data I/O’s Board of Directors in 2011. He was Executive Chairman and formerly President of All Star Directories. Earlier, he held executive roles at GoAhead Software, a Seattle-area manufacturing firm acquired by Leggett & Platt, Seattle Silicon, and Phamis. He began his career as a CPA at Arthur Young & Co. Mr. Brown earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Idaho. His background in software, finance, and governance provides valuable leadership to Data I/O’s Board.

Sally Washlow joined Data I/O’s Board of Directors in 2020.  She is Chief Executive Officer of Orion Energy Systems, Inc., and the former COO/President of Cobra Electronics, which transformed to Cedar Electronics under private equity ownership, where Sally was the CEO. Ms. Washlow has served in various management capacities from supply chain and product marketing to sales, and previously led LHH’s International Center for Executive Options, a boutique provider of executive consulting services. Ms. Washlow received a Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from DePaul University.   Her leadership in consumer and automotive electronics enhances her Board expertise with Data I/O.

Garrett Larson joined the Board in January 2025. He is currently a Senior Equity Analyst at Kanen Wealth Management and previously led investment research in the technology and consumer sectors at hedge funds including Kynikos Associates and SPX Capital. Mr. Larson earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Florida State University. His capital markets experience and strategic insight support Data I/O’s financial and growth initiatives.

Steven Waszak joined the Board of Directors in December 2025. He is the Chief Financial Officer of SMTC Corporation, where he leads global financial strategy, growth initiatives, and value creation. Previously, he held CFO and executive roles at Connected-Holdings, BTI Systems, and Ciena Corporation. He has also served as CEO of BTI Systems and held CFO/COO roles at Internet Photonics. Mr. Waszak began his career at Deloitte and brings over 30 years of experience in finance, M&A, and strategic leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University and has completed executive programs at Harvard and Kellogg. His financial and strategic expertise supports Data I/O’s growth plans.
