The Data tab, available from the Edit Task dialog, allows you to select the data that will be programmed during the Task.

Data Tab

PC File - The file name and path of the data file to be loaded. Enter a data source file name and path by clicking on the drop-down arrow (for data files that are in the same folder as TaskLink) or click Browse to search for your data file.

Translation Format - This option sets the translation format for transferring data to and from the programmer.

Note that formats #71 & #84 are not supported with the auto-detect feature. To use these formats the customer must specifically select them with the drop-down.

Checksum Method - 8 Bit Checksum, 16 Bit Checksum, 32 Bit Checksum, Device Width Checksum, or 32 Bit CRC. If Device Width is chosen, the word width will be checked in the device database. See Checksum Speedup.

Expected Task Checksum - If Require Task Checksum field to be entered in Task is checked (in the Systems > Options > General window) then the checksum value must be entered, otherwise it is optional. The expected checksum value is intended to match the calculated value. If not a run time message displays.
