32 Bit CRC is the most reliable Checksum Method available in TaskLink and is the recommended choice for the Checksum Method. on the Data Tab.
TaskLink always calculates a 32 Bit CRC checksum for use by the device programmer to verify that the data file received from TaskLink was transferred without errors. If you choose a checksum method other than 32 Bit CRC, then TaskLink does two calculations: one for the 32 Bit CRC that it uses, and the other to display the checksum you selected. For large devices, the time to do both calculations can be significant, so it saves time if you select 32 Bit CRC as your Checksum Method.
