Cannot Locate Programmers

Main > System > Options > Communication tab > Locate

Clicking Locate on the Communications tab of the System > Options dialog locates programmers.

 

Locate Programmers button No Networked Programmers

¤ If no programmers are found after clicking Locate, this message is displayed.

If the Locate function finds no programmers:

  1. Check that PS/PP FlashCORE is the selected programming system in TaskLink.

  2. Verify that the Programmer Port Number on the Communications tab matches the Programmer Port Number on the programmers.

  3. Configure Windows Firewall to allow TaskLink and Handler software. How?

If the Locate function finds some programmers but not all programmers:

  1. Check the physical connections to the non-responsive programmer. Is the power cable connected? Is the network (Ethernet) cable connected?

  2. If necessary to re-establish communication, reconfigure the network settings on the non-responsive programmer.
