How to Serialize

Adding a Task:
Task > Task Manager > Add > [type a name & OK] > Serialize Tab

Editing a Task:
Task > Task Manager > [select a task] > Edit > Serialize Tab

To add serialization to each device programmed:

1. Click Task > Task Manager, select a Task and click Edit.
2. Click the Serialization tab.
3. Select Enabled.

¤ On the Serialization Tab, the Network Serialization Server option, Data I/O's Serial Number Server, is not available unless SNS is installed.

4. Select whether to Edit Starting Number More.
5. Select whether to Keep Next Number More
6. Select one of the Serial Programs:  How do I choose?

7. (Optional) If device marking is desired, check Mark on the Process tab. See Serializing and Laser Marking or Serializing and Label Marking.

Note: On the Process tab, the Program box must also be checked for serialization to occur.
