Partial Image Download can dramatically reduce the time it takes to download a job from the PC to a networked programmer.
When this feature is enabled, a form of image compression is used which transfers data only for sectors containing data. In cases where the entire device is not being programmed, this can significantly speed up job loading.
For example, if you are programming a 512 Megabyte device but you only program 20% of the device with actual data, the file sent to the programmers is only 20% of the actual device (102 Megabytes) and the download time is about twice as fast as without this option checked.
