DATA I/O's goal is to provide products and services in an environmentally sound manner. This involves the implementation of programs and processes to ensure our operations and products complete their lifecycle in a manner that supports a healthy environment for the world community.
DATA I/O operates in accordance with all legal requirements for the proper production, recycling, and disposal of its products. In fact, DATA I/O has been recycling packaging materials and offering refurbished equipment for years. These efforts reduce our impact on the global environment by extending the active lifecycle of our products.
We actively seek to improve the environment by creating more efficient products, extending the active life-cycles of our products, reducing the energy required to build our products, and recycling as much material as possible.
WEEE & ROHS Directives
We are committed to continuously improving our environmental stewardship. This includes compliance with all applicable environmental legislation. A recent example of such legislation is the European Union (EU) Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directives.
WEEE-
Data I/O Corporation has already implemented its WEEE compliance program, and all applicable products are marked and documented to support proper collection and processing of expired goods.
RoHS-
DATA I/O products (Test & Measurement) are classified within the WEEE/RoHS category list as monitoring and control instruments (category 9), which are exempt from the restrictions under the scope of the RoHS Directive, including manual programmers, automated systems, and their consumables.
IC labels specifically intended to be used in customer product have already been certified as RoHS compliant. The following label model numbers have been certified as RoHS compliant:

- QC-XX-XX-R/K/A/CA/WK/K
