Wireless secure digital memory units built from NAND Flash technology have been around for a few years, but have experienced limited usefulness because they have lacked the technological maturity to reach a wider audience.

Researchers at the Sandia National Laboratories and McGill University recently announced they have developed a new circuit that has two wires separated by just 150 nanometers and is built to the 15 nanometer specification, Computerworld reported.

Smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices may soon get a huge boost in terms of storage size, as Intel and Micron recently announced a partnership to produce the first 128 GB NAND Flash device, according to the Inquirer.
